Isolated peripheral softness affects mostly the denticulation, since all lettering is bold to sharp and the date is clear. The detail is bold to sharp elsewhere despite minor softness in the centers. Handsome walnut-brown and olive patina overall. The surfaces show numerous tiny marks, many original to the planchet, and none individually distracting during in-hand viewing. A frosty and pleasing piece that serves as a nice example of the type, issue, and Crosby number.
