Submission Types

You may submit banknotes through the Grading, Regrade or Reholder Services.

Grading:

For banknotes not encapsulated or graded by any grading service.

Regrade:

For a banknote previously graded by PCGS Gold Shield Grading that you feel is worthy of a higher grade. Submit in the PCGS Gold Shield Grading holder. The banknote will be removed from the holder and regraded.

Reholder:

This is the re-encapsulation of PCGS Gold Shield Grading certified banknote. Banknote will not be regraded.

Specimen, proof, essays and notes not listed in major catalogs (i.e. Standard Catalog of World Paper Money, Friedberg, Haxby, Criswell, etc.) must submit to Special Issues** or higher. Error notes and Small Commercial (private) issue notes must submit to Special Issues** or higher level, an additional fee of USD 15 per Error note will apply. A USD 10 per banknote Handling Fee is applied to all submissions. Variety plus fee and Mint Error fee are non-refundable.

†If you select Rarity service level, add additional fee equal to 1% of the value of the banknote in its final grade. The value of the banknote is determined by the PCGS Price Guide value for that grade or the Declared Value of the banknote, if the Price Guide value is not available. PCGS reserves the right to make the final determination of the banknote’s value.

  • All submissions should be packaged securely and must be accompanied by a PCGS Gold Shield Grading Hong Kong submission form.

PCGS On-Site Grading Pick-up Information

Turnaround Time:

Notification:
You will be notified via email by PCGS Gold Shield Grading when your order is ready.

Location:
In Person: You must schedule an appointment to pick up your submission.
By Mail: Banknotes will be delivered to the delivery address provided by customers (Please note that customers will have to bear postage charges)

Identification:
You must produce a Passport/ID matching the information on the submission form.

Previously authorized individuals who are denoted on the submission form may pick up your orders with proper passport information.
