How To Submit – On-Site Grading

Submission Types

You may submit banknotes through the Grading, Regrade or Reholder Services.

Grading:

For banknotes not encapsulated or graded by any grading service.

Regrade:

For a banknote previously graded by PCGS Gold Shield Grading that you feel is worthy of a higher grade. Submit in the PCGS Gold Shield Grading holder. The banknote will be removed from the holder and regraded.

Reholder:

This is the re-encapsulation of PCGS Gold Shield Grading certified banknote. Banknote will not be regraded.

Specimen, proof, essays and notes not listed in major catalogs (i.e. Standard Catalog of World Paper Money, Friedberg, Haxby, Criswell, etc.) must submit to Value or higher. Error notes and Small Commercial (private) issue notes must submit to Value or higher level, an additional fee of USD 15 per note will apply. A USD 10 per banknote Handling Fee is applied to all submissions. Variety plus fee and Mint Error fee are non-refundable.

There are a number of ways you can submit banknotes for grading and authentication, and enjoy the security and monetary benefits of having your banknotes certified by PCGS.

Submit at PCGS Hong Kong Office

You may drop off banknote submissions before March 22th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at PCGS Hong Kong Office.

Submit at HKCS Show

Premium or higher Service level banknote submission with value or higher service level by Friday, March 22th will be available for pickup at HKCS show, PCGS booth on Sunday March 31st.

*Extra $10 handling fee per order will be charged if customer prefers to pick up at the show floor. And this is non-refundable.

We are accepting banknotes under all other service levels, however, the submissions received after the cutoff date will be graded on the next Hong Kong Express shipment on April. Error notes will not be guaranteed to return at the show unless the service is Premium or higher. Please contact PCGS representative for approximate time of return.

PCGS will make every attempt to grade all banknotes submitted to on-site grading event, PCGS prioritized grading submissions based on two criteria: the Service Level of submissions and the Date the submissions are received. PCGS begins grading banknotes submitted at the highest service level to the lowest. Banknotes submitted at Premium service level or above are guaranteed for on-site grading return.

PCGS On-Site Grading Pick-up Information

All on-site grading submission should be pickup at PCGS Hong Kong Office by Tuesday, April 2nd or after.

To pick up your banknotes you must offer a passport/ID matching the information on the submission form. Previously authorized individuals who are denoted on the submission form may pick up your banknotes with proper passport information.

In Person: You must schedule an appointment to pick up your submission.
By Mail: Banknotes will be delivered to the delivery address provided by customers (Please note that customers will have to bear postage charges)

Identification:
You must produce a Passport/ID matching the information on the submission form.

Previously authorized individuals who are denoted on the submission form may pick up your orders with proper passport information.
