1787 Fugio Copper. Pointed Rays. Newman 13-X, W-6855. Rarity-2. STATES UNITED, 4 Cinquefoils. MS-60 BN. 163.5 grains. Deep golden-tan surfaces hard throughout save for a scattering of natural planchet fissures. The devices are bold on both sides. Obverse with small ticks at BUS, as struck, and a tiny lamination at SS, also as struck, tiny die crack in extreme right of sun's rays, no other marks of note, reverse with planchet rifts through the upper three rings, as struck, die crack from rim upward to lowest two rings, no other marks of consequence seen.
