Lot Description

<strong>Obv:</strong> The same design that the Mint used to strike regular issue 1859 Indian cents. <strong>Rev:</strong> The denomination ONE CENT within an oak wreath with broad ornamental shield at top. Handsome tan-olive surfaces also reveal iridescent orange-apricot undertones as the coin rotates under a light. Of this Judd number Rick Snow (2014) states, "probably as many as 20 pieces were struck."
