- 1879 Three-Dollar Gold Piece. VF-30 (PCGS). A rare coin given that this issue saw hardly any commercial use, this is an uncommonly well circulated survivor of a low mintage, late date $3 gold issue with just 3,000 pieces produced. PCGS# 8001. NGC ID: 25N2. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
