- 1901-O Barber Quarter. MS-65 (PCGS). Splashes of vivid peripheral toning provide outstanding visual appeal for this fully struck, satin-textured beauty. Although overshadowed by the fabled 1901-S, the New Orleans Mint's issue of that year is a legitimately scarce Barber quarter in its own right. The mintage is limited for the type at 1,612,000 pieces, and with attrition through circulation high Mint State survivors are elusive in all grades.
