- 1871 Hawaii Plantation Token. Wailuku Plantation. 12 1/2 Cents. Medcalf-Russell 2TE-3. Broad Starfish. VF-20 (PCGS). A remarkable third example of this normally highly elusive issue, this is an exceptionally attractive VF of the Broad Starfish variety. Both sides are richly toned in a blend of golden-brown, russet and, on the reverse, pale rose. The detail wanes a bit at the left borders, but both sides retain bold detail to all design elements, including the denomination and date on the reverse.
