Stunning color grabs the viewer’s attention. Multi-colored toning highlights this near gem proof. Iridescent blue and gold blanket the obverse, with the reverse sporting subtle peripheral toning. The 1880’s saw modest production levels for halves and quarters, and this date was no exception. PCGS 73, NGC 70. The date is valued at $1,650 in the PCGS price guide.
