Lot Description

Untoned silver-white surfaces exhibit only a touch of high point wear to sharply struck devices. Seemingly a Choice AU coin that PCGS net graded to AU-50 to account for numismatic handling that imparted a few obverse hairlines and muted the luster somewhat. The Capped Die is the scarcer Guide Book listing for the semi-key date 1879-CC Morgan dollar issue.
