A classic type variety in the Nova Constellatio series, represented here by an appealing piece originally toned in autumn-orange brown. Faint spots at lower left obverse and upper right reverse are noted, but of significant marks there is nothing to report. The lower obverse border approaches the tops of the letters in NOVA, but centering is fairly good and the detail is universally bold on both sides. Struck from the typical rusted state of the obverse die.
