(t) CHINA. Szechuan. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), ND (1901-08). Chengdu Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). NGC EF-40. L&M-345; K-145; KM-Y-238.1; WS-0737. Variety with narrow-faced dragon. Despite having been handled in commerce a bit, the present Dollar retains a charming appeal to it. Problem free, the surfaces are deeply toned, with a rich and varied intensity. Circulation is largely confined to the high elements of the design, leaving much of the original charm intact. A wholesome specimen certain to provide much appeal to the many collectors of "Dragon" Dollars. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500.
