- 1797 Draped Bust Half Dime. LM-1. Rarity-3. 15 Stars. Fine-15 (PCGS). An attractive, boldly toned circulated representative of this challenging early U.S. Mint silver type. Bathed in olive, dove and sandy-gray patina, the surfaces are smooth in hand with only a few faint marks on the obverse that require magnification to discern. Reverse detail is expectably soft for the die pairing, but the obverse is bolder in most areas, and all major design elements on both sides are fully appreciable. PCGS# 4258. NGC ID: 22ZZ.
