- 1830 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-101. Rarity-1. Small 0. MS-64 (PCGS). CAC. A captivating example with premium quality surfaces, undeniable originality and exceptional eye appeal to tempt the most discerning bidders. Dressed in iridescent toning of powder blue, pale olive and champagne-apricot, both sides are highly lustrous with a smooth satin texture. Sharply struck. While the Overton-101 is a plentiful die marriage of the 1830-dated issue in an absolute sense, the present example is of superior preservation to rank just below Condition Census per the listing in the Autumn 2011 revision to Stephen J. Herrman's AMBPR for Bust half dollars. PCGS# 6156. NGC ID: 24FU. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
