<strong>Obv:</strong> A bust of Washington faces right with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST above and the date 1866 below. <strong>Rev:</strong> The Dutch 5 reverse. The digit 5 for the denomination in the center is tall with a knob at the end of its flag. It is surrounded by a laurel wreath with the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the periphery. Untoned frosty to semi-reflective surfaces are sharply struck and visually appealing. The <em>uspatterns.com</em> website accounts for only four examples of this Judd number, that offered here identifiable by a tiny, faint carbon spot in the right obverse field. Significant for advanced pattern collectors, this offering will also appeal to Washingtoniana enthusiasts.
