Lustrous and softly frosted, both sides of this handsome piece exhibit subtle olive undertones to warm honey-gold color. Boldly defined for both the Winter-2 attribution and the assigned grade. The final New Orleans Mint gold dollar, the 1855-O is also perhaps the most popular since it is the only one of the brief and challenging Type II design.
