1812 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-104. Rarity-1. MS-63 (PCGS). CAC. Faint accents of olive-gold and blue at the borders are illuminated by vibrant mint luster throughout. The fields are pleasantly untroubled, boasting a satiny, matte-like texture in some areas. The reverse is dramatically rotated clockwise nearly 90 degrees, as is sometimes seen for these dies. Traceable back over 66 years to our April 1954 Davis-Graves sale, this attractive example will equally appeal to half dollar specialists, type collectors and Mint Error collectors.
