Lot Description

Bright, pale wheat-gold surfaces are boldly to sharply defined in most areas. Wispy hairlines and a somewhat chrome-like appearance betray numismatic mishandling, but of the scattered marks most are singularly inconspicuous to the unaided eye. This is a popular C-Mint half eagle for type purposes, the offered coin in PCGS AU-55 sure to be appealing to many buyers.
