Ample mint luster remains on both the obverse and reverse, wear light and handling marks, while numerous, are small in size and singularly inconspicuous in most viewing situations. One of just 5,000 examples struck, a limited total that confirms the key date status of the circulation strike 1863 three-dollar gold.
