- With a mintage of only 98 total pieces, the 1904 proof Double Eagle is a truly scarce coin. Do not feel like you are settling for a 62, as there are only 22 finer known at PCGS, and even fewer CAC'd for quality and eye appeal. This is an exceptional piece, with liquid fields and boldly frosted devices.
