- Low Mintage High Grade 12 Ounce Year of the Dog CHINA. 1000 Yuan, 1994. Lunar Series, Year of the Dog. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Fr-B64; KM-650. Mintage: 99. Stamped with "79" on edge. The obverse depicts the years lunar animal, the Dog, but more specifically a Tibetan Mastiff in a nature scene. The reverse displays the Phoenix Temple of the Shenyang Imperial Palace. A brilliant and attractive proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices. A magnificent example of this seldom encountered modern rarity free of tone, haze or fog.
