DUPLICATES FROM THE BLACKCAT COLLECTION A very challenging pattern gold dollar, in the interesting annular or ring form. Struck in copper with a plain edge, this is a Rarity-7- issue, with about a dozen thought to exist. What fields exist on this design type feature flashy reflection. The devices are crisply rendered and there is ample original red on both sides. A few minor marks account for the assigned grade but the eye appeal is great. PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1. It has been nearly five years since this coin appeared in auction, and the market today is much stronger. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,000.
