A high Condition Census B-4 quarter. This die pairing is easily identifiable by the dramatic die cracks on both sides; the obverse is bisected from the rim below the bust up to the tip of the cap, while the reverse die broke from D to E in UNITED STATES. Blushes of iridescent gold and pale blue are enlivened by a bold luster. The toning is deeper on the reverse. Sharply struck, this piece shows full definition on both sides. Virtually of full GEM quality, this later date Bust quarter will delight every type or early quarter specialist alike. PCGS 27, NGC 27, CAC 6.
