Lot Description

Die State 110.2. Lustrous and satiny surfaces are pleasingly toned in iridescent golden-olive and champagne-apricot shades. There is some softness of strike, most notably around the peripheries, but overall detail is suitably bold for an 1830s half dollar of the Lettered Edge Capped Bust design type. Based on the list in the Autumn 2025 revision to Stephen J. Herrman's AMBPR, this PCGS MS-62 sits just outside of Condition Census for the 1833 O-110a die state.
