详细说明

A wholesome, if low grade example of this key date Capped Bust dime issue. Warm pewter and blue-gray patina blankets surfaces that reveal only a few well scattered marks, and then again only under close scrutiny with a loupe. Wear is more extensive at the lower obverse and (especially) upper reverse borders, but the date is clear and the focal devices are well outlined. In their Bust Dime Variety Identification Guide (2015), Winston Zack, Louis Scuderi and Michael Sherrill account for only 200 to 250 survivors of the 1822-dated dime issue in all grades.
