Lot Description

BD Die State c/e. Rich deep olive undertones backlight bright golden-wheat color, both sides further enhanced by appreciable reflectivity in the fields. The impression is well centered with virtually all major design elements crisp due to a combination of above average strike and lack of actual wear. Our multiple offerings for such coins in this sale notwithstanding, fully Mint State survivors of this early eagle issue are very scarce from a market availability standpoint. This one is sure to catch the eye of astute collectors, and see spirited bidding.
