1883 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-66 (NGC). Bright and brilliant surfaces are expectably smooth for the assigned grade. Brilliant apart from the lightest golden iridescence, this smartly impressed and carefully preserved example is sure to please even the most discerning bidder. The Philadelphia Mint produced 1,039 Proof silver dollars in 1883, the typical survivor encountered in today's market grading no finer than Proof-64. Premium quality Gems such as this are scarce and always in demand. Provenance: From the Janet Nakushian Collection. NGC Census: 20; 17 finer in this category (Proof-68 finest). PCGS# 7318. NGC ID: 27Z7. Click here for certification details from NGC.
