Lot Description

108.8 grains. Warm medium brown on both sides. Struck from severely rusted dies, and softly in the centers to boot, the piece was clearly collected by Mr. Ford decades ago to illustrate a curiosity in the Hibernia series. Its frosty, virtually mark-free surfaces and fully appreciable design elements also make it a suitable type candidate at the Choice AU grade level.
