THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION FLASHY white luster and brilliance are highly pronounced and accented by wisps of amber toning. An underrated date in the series. Die polish lines are visible on both sides. A few light marks are noted in the obverse fields and a tiny spot if noted in the reverse shield. A hard date to find white--most have splotchy toning. WB-9. Rarity-3. Identified by the lump in the drapery near Liberty’s elbow and the small lump on top of the T of UNITED. PCGS 8, NGC 6. PCGS Price Guide is $2,250. The last piece to sell at auction in an NGC holder was in June 2017 for $1,116. You would think this would be an easy date to find, but populations would suggest otherwise. Only 13 coins grade higher! That’s four long years since the last one appeared at auction.
