Lot Description

BD Die State a/a. Our multiple current offerings for this issue speak volumes about the significance of this auction for advanced gold collectors, but in no way should be taken as proof of the availability of the 1830 quarter eagle under normal market conditions. This is a legitimately rare issue, and appearances are usually few and far between. The present example boasts handsome deep honey-orange color blankets both sides, vivid reddish-rose and olive overtones very much in evidence. Well defined for the assigned grade, this lightly circulated survivor retains faint semi-reflective tendencies in the fields.
