1866 Shield Nickel. Rays. MS-65 (NGC). Uncommonly sharp in striking detail for this challenging two-year design from the beginning of the nickel five-cent series, this endearing Gem Mint State type candidate also offers original satin luster and a delicate overlay of dove-gray patina. Provenance: From the Huber Collection. PCGS# 3790. NGC ID: 22NX. Click here for certification details from NGC.
