- 77.8 grains. The only silver impression from these dies recorded in Syd Martin's census published in his 2018 reference Saint Patrick Coinage. It is an originally toned piece in pewter and golden-gray with faint traces of luster persisting in the protected areas around some of the design elements. Centering is excellent and, while there is minor softness in the centers, the overall detail is suitably sharp for the assigned grade. A very minor flan flaw at the lower obverse border is as made and serves as the only useful identifier for this unique silver impression from the Martin 1.32-Ca.21 dies. Syd estimates that no more than 100 silver St. Patrick farthings exist in total, and they have long been popular with both specialists in this series and advanced colonial era type collectors.
