- 1855 Liberty Head Half Eagle. AU-55 (PCGS). Although generally regarded as a common date issue in circulated grades, the 1855 is an underrated condition rarity in Mint State, which fact has resulted in considerable demand for attractive Choice AU examples such as this among astute Liberty Head gold collectors.
