1903 Barber Quarter. MS-66 (NGC). Lightly to moderately toned, especially around the peripheries, this attractive example also offers silky smooth luster and razor sharp striking detail. As a Philadelphia Mint issue with a generous mintage of 9,759,309 circulation strikes, one might assume that the 1903 numbers among the more plentiful Barber quarters in Mint State. This is actually an underrated condition rarity, in fact, with Gems such as this remarkably elusive given the total number of coins struck. A find for the astute Barber quarter specialist.
