1863 Seated Liberty Half Dime. Proof-64 Cameo (NGC). Bright silver centers yield to bull's eye toning highlights of deep blue, gold, and violet. A splendid proof of the date that may just as well be called Gem Proof, for it is that attractive. One of just 460 proofs of the date struck, the lowest such mintage in the series after 1858. Repunched 1 in date.
