- 1896 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-61 Deep Cameo (PCGS). The Morgan silver dollar Proofs of the mid and late 1890s rank among the best produced and most attractive coins of the 19th century. The present example is a case in point. All design elements are sharply struck, including the hair over Liberty's ear and the eagle's breast feathers. Both sides display excellent field-motif contrast. Post-strike marks, however, limit the coin's grade, showing several marks in the obverse and reverse fields. PCGS# 97331. NGC ID: 27ZT.
