Lot Description

From a paltry mintage of 1,000 circulation strikes comes this desirable key date three-dollar gold piece. Both sides are dressed in vivid reddish-rose iridescence that enlivens a base of warm orange-gold color. The mint finish is complete in a delightful frosty to semi-reflective texture. Sharply struck and minimally marked, this coin will see spirited bidding from advanced 19th century gold collectors.
