A bright white coin that shows strong reflectivity in the fields and billowy frost on the devices. The latter also sport razor sharp detail from a fully executed strike. Impressively smooth and well composed for a CC-Mint Morgan dollar, especially one with such delicate fields. In sum, this is a beautiful example, and a coin that is worthy of strong bids.<p>One of the scarcer Carson City Morgan silver dollars, the 1890-CC is even more elusive with a Deep Mirror Prooflike finish, and as a Gem with these features - almost impossible! According to Q. David Bowers (1993), in fact, only 2-3% of extant DMPL 1890-CC Morgans grade at or above the MS-65 level. A real find for the advanced collector specialized in DMPL dollars.
