Lot Description

Like so many of its counterparts in the challenging three-dollar gold series, the circulation strike 1868 has a low mintage (4,850 coins produced) and survivors are scarce to rare in all grades. That offered here is not all far removed from Mint State and retains plenty of frosty luster and bold strike detail to honey-rose surfaces.
