Noyes Die State B/B. Iridescent olive-brown obverse toning leaves plenty of vivid mint color on that side, while the generally olive-brown reverse also reveals faded pinkish-rose mint color as the coin rotates under strong lighting. Well struck for the advanced die state, some peripheral softness is as expected, but the central motifs are boldly to sharply rendered. Several light spots over and around Liberty's portrait on the obverse preclude a full Gem grade, but this is a solid MS-64 even by EAC standards, and a beautiful Matron Head cent from the 1837 Newcomb-16 dies.
