1885 Liberty Seated Dime. Proof-62 (NGC). Impressive deep lilac-gray and slate with iridescent olive overtones. Choice for the grade.
    Proof mintage: 930 pieces.
In its day the Neil Collection created a sensation. The coin market was as hot as a firecracker, and the Neil cabinet contained many rarities. If you are the successful purchaser of this lot or any other with this pedigree, you might wish to acquire a copy of the Neil Collection catalog -- easy enough to do through any dealer in out-of-print numismatic literature.
