1864 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. Proof-63 (NGC). CAC. This fully struck and inviting piece combines a nearly brilliant reverse with an obverse veiled in light pearl-gray iridescence. From a mintage of just 470 pieces, one of the lowest among Proof Liberty Seated dollar issues from the Civil War and Reconstruction eras. Given the scarcity of the circulation strike 1864 silver dollar in all grades, and the rarity of Mint State examples, Proof survivors such as this are always in demand among advanced collectors.
