Noyes Die State C/D. Frosty and impressively well composed even at the Choice Uncirculated grade level, this is a thoroughly PQ coin that easily supports the coveted CAC sticker. Both sides show abundant mint orange color mixed with original toning in iridescent golden-copper and warmer rose-brown. Well struck with bold to sharp detail throughout the design. The Pogue coin in PCGS MS-66 RB, ex Naftzger-Cardinal Collection, is the finest known for this Newcomb number. The Widmer Family specimen, while obviously ranking a little lower in the census, is still uncommonly nice and would also do justice to an advanced collection.
