- 1840 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. AU-55 (NGC). Brilliant with ample mint luster and virtually full, overall sharp striking detail. The 1840 Liberty Seated dollar is surprisingly elusive in all grades for a first year issue in U.S. coinage history, and this snappy Choice AU is better preserved than most survivors. PCGS# 6926. NGC ID: 24YA.
