1799 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-164, B-17. Rarity-2. EF-45 (NGC). Boldly struck with pleasing definition seen in the eagle's breast feathers and shield, this lovely example displays deep slate to mauve patina throughout with some deeper argent tones on selected obverse high points. The surfaces are smooth and evenly worn without any distracting blemishes--a wholly satisfying specimen. At this die state, the crack through the TE of UNITED continues to the wing.
