- 1884-CC Liberty Head Double Eagle. AU-50 (PCGS). Vivid rose and orange-gold patina greets the viewer from both sides of this handsome AU example. Sharply struck with nearly full luster, there is much to recommend this coin to discerning bidders. One of the more popular type issues in the Carson City Mint double eagle series, the 1884-CC is still scarce in the finer circulated and all Mint State grades relative to demand for CC-Mint coinage in today's market.
