Lot Description

1797 Draped Bust Dime. JR-2. Rarity-4. 13 Stars. AG-3 (PCGS). A heavily circulated survivor with isolated areas of near-lack of detail, both sides do retain some bolder definition that includes a sharp date at the lower-obverse border. Liberty's portrait and the reverse eagle are rather well outlined, and both sides exhibit even patination in a medium-gray shade. A few old, dull pinscratches are not readily evident to the unaided eye.
