This is a VERY pleasing and totally original coin. We consider it a GEM AU! The naked (unmolested) surfaces appear clean. Use a strong glass and you'll see many small ticks scattered all over. There is nothing serious. A surprising light glowing luster can be seen. Both sides are a deep original gold color with some faint speckles of light toning. The wear is even and light. You can see a very light stacking discoloration on the cheek. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The eye appeal is really VERY pleasing! PCGS 56, NGC 87, CAC 22. PCGS has graded only this coin an AU58+. The last PCGS CAC AU58+ sold at auction for $13,200 in March 2023. It should be noted CAC has possibly beaned only 8 coins higher.
