1825 Matron Head Cent. N-2. Rarity-2. MS-61 BN (NGC). This is a remarkably sharp example delivering strong eye appeal for the assigned grade. An old pinscratch skits across Liberty's ear and cheek, though this goes largely unnoticed without magnification. The surfaces are otherwise smooth and uniformly lustrous, painted in rich shades of mahogany and chestnut. Each side shows well-developed cracks equivalent to Noyes Die State C/C, along with alignments shifted toward 6 o'clock on the obverse and 12 o'clock on the reverse.
