Outstanding Quality Pattern Ten Cash CHINA. Pattern 10 Cash, ND (1913). PCGS SP-65 BN Secure Holder. CL-MG.64; CCC-690; W-972 (B-2); KM-Pn5; Hsu-13; Duan-3097. Single finest certified at PCGS. See Ros #23/24 p.127, Ros didn't mention the actual date, but can be identified as the time of Vice-Present Li's departure for Peking(Dec/1913). Very similar to the W971 we are offering in this sale but with a larger decoration on Yuan Shih-Kai's breast. Needle sharp strike with every minute detail visible without the aid of magnification. Flawless glossy prooflike surfaces displaying a lovely mixture of milk chocolate and mahogany with just a hint of original mint red. Truly a magnificent example of this VERY RAREpattern sure to be a very welcome addition the next collection it enters. Estimate: $10,000 - $15,000. Provenance: From the Q. David Bowers Collection. PCGS SP-65 BN Secure Holder. 品相絕佳十文樣幣 袁世凱像共和紀念十文銅幣。樣幣。大面像。 PCGS評鑒最高。作者並未提及鑄造具體年份，但可以確定是黎元洪赴北京就任副總統職前鑄成，即1913年12月左右。此拍品與本場拍賣中另一拍品W971袁世凱共和紀念銅樣幣小面像極為相似，唯此枚中袁像胸飾稍大，於鬍鬚、肩章及背面嘉禾卷草紋處亦均有細微不同。鑄打奇峻，無需放大便已能看到每處細節的細緻入微。表面光澤亮麗，了無瑕疵，巧克力色與赭石色調交融漸變，亦透出些微原廠紅光。極罕，定會成為買家藏品中的亮眼佳品。
