1912 Barber Quarter. Proof-67 * (NGC). Mostly brilliant white with a few small patches of umber-gray and a swath on the central reverse meandering through the fields of similar toning. Frosty devices and good contrast, with a high degree of careful preservation required to merit the Superb grade. Furthermore the contrast and eye appeal have earned the desired star designation from NGC. Scarce and desirable at this lofty grade level, and clearly one of the finer coins from the original mintage of 700 pieces. PCGS# 5698. NGC Census: 10; 5 finer (PR-69 finest) within designation.
